I am currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and IT. What drives me is data, because data is the foundation of business and the decisions that shape performance, growth, and competitive advantage. When data is fragmented, inconsistent, or lacks context, decisions are often reduced to guesswork. When data is clean, structured, and accessible, it enables clarity, stronger decision making, and better business outcomes. That is why I have chosen to build my profile at the intersection of data and business.
Below, you will first find a recommendation from my lecturer, followed by sections presenting my experience and background. In the final section, you will find the contact details of my references.

It is my pleasure to offer my warmest recommendation of Sammy Ahmed Isse in connection with his further career path. I have had Sammy as a student in the Professional Bachelor's Degree Programme in Economics and Information Technology at UCL University College, where I have taught him in the subjects Operations and Business Analysis and Fundamental Business Understanding.
In my teaching, Sammy has demonstrated a strong analytical mindset and a solid understanding of the relationship between financial key figures and the underlying business operations. He approaches complex tasks with great enthusiasm and a structured method, which consistently results in work of high quality. His ability to translate theoretical models into practically applicable insights is striking.
In addition to his academic foundation, Sammy is characterised by an exceptional dedication. He possesses an infectious spirit and a positive energy that has a noticeable effect on collaboration within the class. He is a clear team player who lifts his fellow students through his commitment and his work effort.
It is also worth highlighting Sammy’s ability to balance the demands of being a full-time student with the role of being a father. This reflects a high degree of discipline, responsibility and the ability to maintain an overview in a busy everyday life, qualities which, in my conviction, will make him an asset in any professional organisation.
I give Sammy Ahmed Isse my strongest recommendations. He is a dedicated and ambitious profile who combines academic ability with a strong work ethic and good social skills. I am convinced that he will quickly create value.
You are welcome to contact me if any further clarification is desired. (Contact details are provided in the final section)

2021 - Current
I work at Nyborg Municipality in a hybrid role. On one side, I work as a mentor in a youth club supporting teenagers with complex behavioural and social challenges, where I developed practical and effective ways to help them within tight municipal budget constraints. On the other side, I have initiated digitalisation efforts by identifying more modern and efficient solutions to outdated processes. Working with limited resources pushed me to find smarter ways of solving problems, which strengthened my interest in digitalisation, efficiency, and optimisation.
This experience has given me a strong foundation for analysing and improving processes, with a focus on making the best possible use of resources through digital solutions.
Before starting my Bachelor’s degree in Economics and IT, I completed two semesters of the Computer Science programme, where I built a foundation in programming and software development. During that time, I developed several applications, including a grocery price comparison system, which is shown in the image on the left.
Through projects and self study, I have developed a strong understanding of automation and digitalisation. In addition, I spend much of my free time building my knowledge of AI and Power BI, with a strong focus on how these tools can be applied to create greater business value.
This has given me the ability to contribute to digital solutions that improve efficiency, support scalability, and strengthen business processes.
My competencies within efficiency improvement and digitalisation only create real value when they are applied in close alignment with business needs. I am motivated by bridging technology and business goals and ensuring that the solutions I contribute to genuinely support performance, value creation, and long term development. Through my studies and my collaboration with my lecturer Henrik, I have learned to analyse and improve business performance based on financial and operational understanding, while also developing a broader perspective on how strategy and operations are connected.
This has given me a strong understanding of how systems such as CRM and ERP can create value across an organisation by bringing data together, improving collaboration, and making processes more connected across departments.
What I find most interesting is the full journey from raw data to decision making. I enjoy thinking in terms of data architecture and structure, so the data foundation becomes stable, understandable, and trustworthy. I find it equally interesting to build strong pipelines, because the quality of the output always depends on the quality of the flow going in, and because automation and governance are what make data truly usable in day to day business. At the same time, I am motivated by visualising data and giving it business context, so insights do not remain charts, but become actions. On top of that, I can clearly see myself working with forecasting and models, including both classical prediction modelling and LLM based solutions, when they are relevant and can be turned into real business value.
In short, I am interested in data engineering, analytics, and data science because I see them as different layers of the same value chain, all with the same goal of turning data into something the business can actually use.
